Guelph Women’s Football Logo Redesign
Working with the coaches for the University of Guelph Women’s Football team I helped design a new logo.
(See below for the original logo).
I incorporated elements like the football and the eagle into one shape with a stylized wing pattern to give it a sleek update. I also switched to some bolder fonts and a cleaner silhouette.
University of Waterloo Residence Programming
I produced these designs while working for the Residence at the University of Waterloo. The fourth design was chosen for the final printed copy of the student staff manual. It includes vector illustrations of the various residence buildings on campus to create a simple background.
The remaining images were used around campus to communicate important themes and teachings. They were used in accompaniment with programming run by student staff on campus as both printed posters and on screens.
All images adhere to the university’s style guides and formatted to fit a variety of platforms.
Book Cover Proposal
“Time for the Eyes to Adjust” is a short story about memory, nostalgia and family. I designed a cover to reflect this. The hands represent a repeated theme in the story of looking back and the subjective framing of the author's memories through their own lens.
Theatre Brochure
This was a brochure design for Theatre Erindale. I went for bold simple text with vector graphics to illustrate the themes of each play and quickly grab the attention of the viewer. This way the layouts can work for the brochure and for future posters and advertisements.
T-Shirt Design
These designs were screen printed onto T-shirts. Multiple dice per shirt, and the combined “birth certificate”/ “character sheet” on the back. The concept was focused on identity from the perspective of a role-playing game where elements like gender, name and class are constructed by choice. The 20 sided dice illustrate the random way that some of these identities are applied to us.
